The 2nd International Forum on High-End Equipment and Intelligent Manufacturing was successfully held in Hangzhou from July 15 to 17, 2022. The forum was jointly organized by the Hangzhou Dianzi University and Hangzhou Mechanical Engineering Society, and co-organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering, the Information Engineering College and Hangzhou Qiantang Science City Management Office, with the support of Hangzhou Science and Technology Association and Zhejiang Natural Science Foundation Committee.

The forum is an online and offline hybrid event, attracting of more than 3000 people attending.
The forum is chaired by Academician Jianrong Tan and Professor Zefei Zhu, specifically to carry out exchanges and share cutting-edge achievements in the field of high-end equipment and intelligent manufacturing.
Prof. Zefei Zhu made a wonderful speech: The second forum is still themed on high-end equipment and intelligent manufacturing, providing a platform for experts and scholars to discuss new findings, new problems and new ideas. We hope that the participants will fully discuss and exchange ideas, collide with the sparks of ideas, and provide intellectual support to promote the high-quality development of global intelligent manufacturing.
Academician Jianrong Tan gave an invited report entitled Digital Design and Digital Twin: Key Technologies and Development Trends. Academician Tan emphasized the importance of digital, networked and intelligent design for product innovation, introduced the eight key technologies of digital twin, and pointed out the opportunities and challenges faced by digital twin technology for high-end equipment.
Prof. Chuanzhen Huang gave an invited presentation titled Research Progress on High-Efficiency Precision Manufacturing and Ceramic Tools, focusing on the opportunities and challenges of tool technology in high-end equipment manufacturing.
Professor Wei Gao gave an invited presentation titled Surface Measurement for Super Precision Machining, focusing on sharing the key technologies of online and in-situ surface measurement in ultra-precision manufacturing of high-end equipment.
Prof. Guobiao Wang gave a special report entitled Current Situation and Prospects of Basic Research on Intelligent Manufacturing in China, pointing out that the training of young scientists in the direction of intelligent manufacturing is current must-do.
Professor Guodong Yin gave an invited presentation entitled Research on the theory, method and control of intelligent electric chassis design for automobiles, which clearly presented the future development direction of electric vehicles.
The forum was chaired by Prof. Jing Ni.
The forum also has four sessions.
In Session 1, Prof. Liang Hu from Zhejiang University, Prof. Jing Ni from Hangzhou Dianzi University, Prof. Qinyi Li from Kyushu University, and Prof. Zhipu Pei, Director of LPS tech, made reports around the theme of IC equipment and intelligent manufacturing.
In Session 2, Prof. Tingting Liu from Nanjing University of Technology, Prof. Songmei Yuan from Beihang University, Prof. Jianzhong Fu from Zhejiang University, and Prof. Yuanliu Chen from Zhejiang University were invited to make reports on Aerospace Equipment and Intelligent Manufacturing.
In Session 3, Prof. Deqing Mei from Zhejiang University, Prof. Wei Yuan from South China University of Technology, Associate Prof. Shan Bao from University of Michigan and Dr. Yiheng Feng from Purdue University were invited to present on the theme of Robotics, Intelligent Vehicles and Smart Manufacturing.
In Session 4, Prof. Peng Cong from Tsinghua University, Prof. Dong Wang from University of Exeter, Prof. Ruoyu Dong from Basic Science Research Center, Korea, and Prof. Rizauddin Ramli from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia were invited to make reports on the theme of New Material Equipment and Intelligent Manufacturing.
