1.Degree in Information and Communication Engineering

The subject of this degree authorization site is the first-level subject of information and communication engineering. The second-level subject, communication and information system, was rated as the key subject of the Ministry of Information Industry in 2000, and the signal and information processing subject was rated as the key supporting subject of Zhejiang Province. In 2005, two subjects, e.g. signal and information processing, and communication and information system, were evaluated as key subjects of Zhejiang Province. In 2012, the first-level subject, information and communication engineering, was listed as a key subject of provincial universities during the 12th Five-Year Plan, was rated as a provincial first-class subject in 2016 (Category B), and was rated as a national defence characteristic subject in 2017.

In the past three years, information and communication engineering subject has been rated as 25.3%, 29.34%, and 25.44% in the Qiu Junping discipline ranking. In 2017, this subject had been ranked as the top 25% of China's best disciplines in soft sciences and was evaluated as C in the fourth round of national subject assessment.

The degree program began to enroll postgraduates in 1985. The signal and information processing subject was approved as a second-level subject in 1998, the communication and information system subject was proved as a second-level subject in 2000, and the information and communication engineering was proved as a first-level subject in 2005. In addition, we independently set up a Master's degree in information security in 2011, and a second-level subject doctoral degree in the intelligent information processing and systems subject in 2016.

2.Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Electronic and Communication Engineering MEng program started to enroll full-time professional graduate students in 2009.

The goal of the training is to cultivate application-oriented, high-level engineering technology and management talents with a solid foundation, physical and mental health, comprehensive quality, strong engineering practice ability and a certain innovative ability. Support the party's basic line, principles and policies, love the country, abide by disciplines and laws, have a good professional ethics and professionalism, have a scientific and rigorous and pragmatic learning attitude and working style. Also, they need to know state-of-the art technology and developing trend related to their background, grasp the basic theory, advanced technology and modern technology in the fields of electronics and communication engineering, and obtain independent design and operation, ****ysis and integration, research and development, management and decision abilities in the field of communication engineering. Moreover, they need to be fluent in one foreign language, and capable of high-level engineering technology and management works in the field of electronics and communication engineering.
