Introduction

The Finance major was founded in 1993. At the beginning, it was for junior college students only. It planned to establish undergraduate courses in 1998. After 3 years, the application was approved by the Ministry of Education in January 2001, and it began to recruit undergraduate students in September 2001. In 2006, it became the Key Developing Major of the university and in 2007, it was rated as the Key Developing Major of Zhejiang province. In 2014, it was selected as the Emerging Characteristic Major (Internet Finance direction) of Zhejiang province during the 12th Five Year Plan. In 2007, the Department of Finance won the honorary title of Women's Civilization Post in Zhejiang province.

Talent Cultivation

Based on the characteristics of Micro Finance and Internet Finance, the Finance major focuses on the cultivation of students' economic and financial theoretical basis. On the other hand, based on the university’s background of engineering, it is committed to the cultivation of internet financial technology talents who are good at mining and ****ysis of massive financial big data, so as to meet the needs of massive financial big data storage, processing, ****ysis and optimization, which are generated in the process of cyberization of traditional financial business such as banking, securities, insurance, etc.
