Subjects and Contents:
These programs are mainly for college students aged 18 and above, with applicants required to possess a relevant academic background. Students can choose one program of interest from the following four programs, with each program lasting for two weeks (except for the fourth program). We encourage students from the same institution to select the program on the same date.
1. Deepblue Maker: Underwater Robots
This two-week program aims to provide students with a comprehensive experience of applying theoretical knowledge from multiple disciplines to build underwater robots from scratch.
l Explore the fascinating realm of underwater robotics and learn how these advanced machines are transforming our understanding and utilization of the ocean.
l Gain hands-on experience with underwater robots, from remote-operated vehicles
(ROVs)to autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).
l Understand the applications of underwater robots in ocean exploration, resource extraction, and environmental monitoring.
During the first week, students will build a preliminary prototype of an underwater robot that can be manually controlled. By the end of the second week, they will have constructed a prototype of an intelligent underwater robot capable of functions such as motion auto-control, image recognition, and autonomous line patrol.
Ultimately, through group demonstrations and evaluations of their prototypes, students will showcase their talents and experience the joy of technological creation, fostering their all-round development.
2. Electronic Design and Application: Intelligent Car and Smart Devices
By studying the practical application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in intelligent control, students can
cultivate their application and programming abilities in electronic modules. In this course, students will:
l Learn how to apply AI technology in intelligent car control.
l Assemble model cars using diverse materials and modules.
This hands-on experience will not only enhance students' technical skills but also provide them with a deeper understanding of AI's potential in real-world applications.

3. Innovation & Entrepreneurship Management in Digital Economics
The two-week summer program combines intensive coursework in business fundamentals, including corporate management, data analytics for decision-making, and innovation strategy. Participants will visit leading tech companies in Hangzhou, where they'll gain firsthand exposure to operational practices and industry developments while learning about Chinese management approaches and business culture. Through a blend of academic study, company visits, and cultural activities, students will develop a deeper understanding of China's economic landscape and cultural heritage. The program also emphasizes team projects and cross-cultural exchange, helping participants strengthen their international communication and collaboration skills.
4. Information Fusion and its Applications in 5G and UAV
This four-week program aims to provide students with a comprehensive experience in the fields of information fusion and its applications in 5G and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In class, students will delve into AI-driven information fusion, which enhances the intelligence of the fusion process by incorporating AI technology, enabling automatic recognition of data patterns and more precise decision-making. Additionally, students will have hands-on experience with the diverse practical applications of information fusion in 5G and UAVs.
Through a series of systematic lectures and practical sessions, students will gain a profound understanding of the fundamental principles and core technologies of information fusion, as well as its practical applications in the fields of 5G and UAVs. Furthermore, they will master AI-driven methods for information fusion.
Note: This program will last for four weeks, encompassing both sessions.
Dates:
Session 1: July 27, 2025 - August 9, 2025
Session 2: August 10, 2025 - August 23, 2025
All courses will be conducted in English. Upon completion of these courses, students will receive a transcript that allocates 2-3 HDU credits (each credit equivalents to 16 hours) .
Note: The timing and content of the programs may be adjusted accordingly based on the actual number of registrants.

Accommodation Fees:
RMB2500 for each session (standard double room)
Payment at the hotel upon arrival is accepted via credit card, cash, Alipay, and WeChat Pay.
Meal Arrangements:
HDU will cover meals at campus cafeterias.
Enjoy a welcome dinner and a farewell lunch during your stay.
Transportation:
Included: City transportation fees (including one airport pick-up and one drop-off, requiring advance booking within specified times).
How to Arrive:
By Air: Upon arrival at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, simply make an advance booking for our airport transfer service (within specified times).
By Train: Take Metro Line 1 from Hangzhou East Railway Station and get off at Wenze Road Station (Hangzhou Dianzi University Exit). The hotel is just a 50-meter walk away.
Note: For arrivals outside the specified times, participants will need to arrange their own transportation to the university.
